UK Native Shady Mix – Hedgerow

All over the UK people are increasingly realising the important role that our native wildflowers play in our ecosystems – from soil health to pollination, these pretty, colourful plants have a big impact. There are wildflowers to suit all locations, including several shade tolerant species which are ideal for growing on country lanes, along hedgerows and in the shade of high banks along the wayside.

We’ve developed our UK Native Shady Mix – Hedgerow with practical purpose in mind, and it’s a bonus that they add a bright and beautiful touch to the landscape as well.

We’ve selected a large, varied mix of wild flowers, all chosen for their tolerance of shady spots. You can buy the wildflower seed mix undiluted, or choose to have a selection of slow-growing shade tolerant grasses mixed in. Slow-growing grasses will allow the flowers time to establish and flourish, bringing displays of white, yellow, purple and pink to shady corners in the wild or in your garden.

When you place your order here online you can specify the quantity of seed you wish to purchase in package sizes range from 10g to 1kg, and whether you want 100% wildflowers or an 80% grasses to 20% wildflower mix.

All wildflower mixes benefit the environment and the wider ecosystem. The grasses and flowers in this mix are beneficial to a vast variety of wildlife.
