Supplying leading landscaping firms and venues across Britain can often require tricky, specific solutions, in very short timescales. As seed and turf suppliers, the last 18 months has thrown up some exciting and often challenging projects.
“It’s been a fun year and a half”, explains Lawrence Millet, director of Jubilee Seeds and Turf. “One element we are very proud of at Jubilee is the ability to offer bespoke solutions. It’s enabled us to be a part of some fantastically exciting projects and there’s a real pleasure in working along side some of the best in the industry.”
“Variety is the spice of life and we have been lucky enough to have been approached to supply seed and turf to some wonderful sites”, he adds. “Recently we supplied products such as Christmas trees and turf (amongst other things) to be used as props in a large production at the Barbican Theatre! We have also begun some fascinating environmental work consulting and supplying seed to restore moorland heather and establishing wildflowers for large government funded schemes.”
Whilst the odd and interesting makes for exciting projects, large scale challenges also offer great excitement. “We work with several large landscaping firms to deliver high quality turf. Often that can mean the time taken from lifting the turf to delivering it on site is a matter of hours to maximise quality. Logistically it requires us to be at the top of our game. Another client required 10 acres of turf in one order! That was a fun one!”
“We enjoy the ability to to consult, adapt and supply the right product for our customers. These varied, bespoke services are what we are all about.”
